Background
The Strategic Partnership is a programme of interventions funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen civil society organizations(CSOs) as advocates and lobbyists. In Nigeria, Cordaid is partnering with eight local CSOs to strengthen the capacity of communities in the Niger Delta to advocate for the cleanup of the oil spills in the region.
Problem
Cordaid Nigeria required a skilled and experienced communication consultant to support the Strategic Partnership (SP) documentation and disseminate the programme’s outcomes and impact in Nigeria. They sought to produce high-quality, short videos showcasing the SP’s work and its outcomes in Nigeria, particularly highlighting the changes brought about by the SP’s lobbying and advocacy interventions. Additionally, they needed to produce well-branded documents and materials for the end-of-project dissemination events. These materials include knowledge and communication products such as the final end-of-project report, case studies, technical briefs, and success stories.
Solution/Activities
Aries Concept, being a reliable communications firm experienced in telling stories through the lens, delivered the following to products to aid SP End-of-Project Documentation and Dissemination.
- 15 Mins Documentary: The documentary highlighted the impact of the SP mainly from the perspectives of the project’s key partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries. The documentary that was shot in Port Harcourt, Ogoniland and Abuja captured a summary of the Cordaid intervention in Nigeria.
- Design and print of Case Studies, Compendium, Final Reports and Technical Briefs.
- Produce high-quality branded materials like Biro, Flash Drive and T-Shirt.
Result
All these contributed to the success of the End-of-Project Documentation and Dissemination of the Outcomes of the Strategic Partnership on Lobby & Advocacy in Nigeria.
